You'll have opportunities to build new skills and invest in your development, all while doing meaningful work that makes an everyday impact on the world's vital water resources.Reporting to the Customer Support Supervisor, the Equipment Coordinator is responsible to fulfill internal and external customer needs as an Equipment Coordinator through a high volume of complex electronic requests (averaging 20 - 30 requests a day), while also handling phone requests (averaging 20 - 30 phone calls a day). The Equipment Coordinator provides unscripted, customized professional service with the expectation that the Coordinator has sole ownership over the resolution within a 48-hour window. Schedule alternates between 8:00 AM EST - 4:30 PM EST and 8:30 AM EST - 5:00 PM EST depending on business needs Monday through Friday.This position is part of the Corporate Services department located in Glen Allen, VA and will be on-site.In this role, a typical day will look like:Quoting (Spec'ing) equipment such as controller, pumps, replacement parts and custom panelsSetting up and maintaining tanks in internal databaseWorking directly with vendors for costing and technical assistanceHandle equipment returns and expedites from start to finishUnderstand, process, and confirm on average 20 - 30 customer requests through e-mail or faxSupport the sales force to resolve complex situationsProblem solve delivery issues, probe and fact find for key elements, and track orders to deliveryReview customer Purchase Orders (PO) for order entryAccurately place text-based, customer PO, and e-mail chain ordersRead and decipher notes in order entryFollow the escalation procedure for outstanding tasksDetermine appropriate formula to calculate salesman cost based on Chemtreat pricingDiscern commission decisions at order entry time and take action as necessaryDetermine freight charge routing and allocation to properly apply freight charges to customers.Phone Support (Back Up Phone Support Team & Ecom Support)Place phone orders as neededRead and decipher notes in order entryFollow the escalation procedure for outstanding tasksControl the phone calls (direction, pace, tone)Diffuse irate callersThe essential requirements of the job include:Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree Preferred2-3 years of business and/or customer contact center experience preferredTechnical equipment knowledge preferredSupplemental ResponsibilitiesAbility to understand lean manufacturing metrics as they relate to daily performance measuresDevelop and share best practices with teamUnderstand and adapt to change in processes and procedures.Additional duties as assignedOther duties as assignedOther InformationComprehensive 60-day training program, including but not limited to supporting the customer contact center.Cross-training in other areas within the department18- 24 months' commitment in Corporate ServicesDevelopment opportunities for company growth if so desiredKnowledge & SkillsTechnical, Analytical skills and business knowledgeCommunication and Interpersonal skills; Teamwork and leadershipOrganizational skills; Self-managementCritical thinking and attention to detailAbility to handle a fast-paced environmentProfessional phone and e-mail etiquetteStrong written communication skillsClear phone dictionConsistently communicate with supervisor and team regarding status of daily work loadPositive attitude during stressful situations and ability to handle multiple interruptionsAbility to build rapport and relationships with customersConfident interaction with other departments and senior leadershipOpen to change and learningChemTreat is proud to be a part of the Water Quality segment of Veralto (NYSE: VLTO), a $5B global leader dedicated to ensuring access to clean water, safe food and medicine, and trusted essential goods.
