Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 8 and 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ventilator management, nebulizer treatments, BiPAP/CPAP therapy, and bedside spirometry
• Conduct EKGs using Mortara EKG carts and operate Drager ventilators, Respironics BiPAP/CPAP, Smart Vest, and MicroNebs
• Document patient care using computerized charting and utilize the Pyxis medication system
• Provide competent care and treatment across all patient age groups
• Float and provide coverage across multiple hospital departments including ED, ICU, Med/Surg, Peds, OB, and Family Care areas
• Prioritize daily duties effectively while communicating clearly with the interdisciplinary care team

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
• Active Minnesota Respiratory Care license or willingness to obtain upon offer acceptance
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS and NRP certifications required
• Demonstrated competency with respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and spirometry devices
• Ability to work in all hospital departments and areas as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with computerized charting systems and Pyxis medication management
• Experience working across diverse hospital settings including ICU, ED, and pediatric or OB environments
• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care responsibilities simultaneously
