Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (9:00–21:30) | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) nursing care in an inpatient setting at a Level I Trauma, Teaching, and acute care facility
• Manage pre- and post-procedural care for patients undergoing Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures
• Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in the primary PACU setting; may float to the Holding area within the PACU department at a 1:3–5 ratio, equivalent to a PCU-level inpatient assignment
• Utilize Cerner for electronic charting and documentation
• Participate in on-call coverage, including approximately 1–2 overnight call shifts per month within a 4-week schedule
• Work one weekend shift per month and must be available for 2 out of 3 designated holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & the day after; Christmas Eve & Christmas Day; New Year's Eve & New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending RN license (pending licensure may be accepted at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU RN experience; Level I Trauma and Telemetry experience required
• Experience with pre- and post-Cath Lab procedures and pre- and post-IR procedures required
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, and PALS (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; non-local driver's license required on file
• Minimum contract length of 10 weeks; candidates who have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached a cumulative one-year mark at this facility must observe a 6-month system break before returning

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
• Experience in high-acuity or teaching hospital environments
