Registered Nurse, Care Manager

ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Care Manager in Roanoke, Virginia.

Schedule/Shift

8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

As an RN Care Manager at Good Samaritan Hospice, you will provide comfort, compassion, and quality care to patients and families in their time of need. This position primarily involves working in patients' residences, necessitating travel to long-term care facilities and hospitals within the Good Samaritan Hospice service area. Your role will require strong bedside nursing skills for symptom management, crisis intervention, and family education.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care and provide necessary services in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Develop and maintain rapport with patients and their families.
• Educate families regarding care and management of symptoms.
• Perform crisis interventions as needed.
• Document care provided and update patient records efficiently.

Required Experience

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice nursing by the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
• Two years of experience in acute care, home health, hospice, med/surg, or geriatric nursing.
• Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record.

Certifications/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
