Compliance Intern

Overview Quartz is seeking a Compliance Intern to join our team from June through August 2027. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare compliance while developing professional skills in a collaborative and mission-driven environment. The selected intern will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain insight into the regulatory landscape of the health insurance industry. Internship Benefits: Competitive pay Networking and team-building opportunities Week-long intern retreat in Madison, Wisconsin (June 1-4, 2027) Personality and productivity workshops, including DiSC and Working Genius Dedicated intern buddy and mentorship support Mock interview and résumé development workshops Job shadowing opportunities Paid volunteer experience Access to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) Responsibilities What You'll Do You will participate in meaningful projects and gain experience through real-world situations that can be applied to your career beyond the classroom, including but not limited to: Research healthcare industry topics, including products, regulations, competitors, and emerging trends Develop professional skills such as communication, time management, and workplace professionalism Strengthen your proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word Utilize online research tools, such as LexisNexis, to support projects and analysis Support compliance and policy-related projects that help ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational standards Partner with compliance professionals on research, analysis, and special projects that support departmental goals What You'll Learn Health insurance products and operations Regulatory requirements Industry trends and competitive dynamics Professional communication and workplace best practices Time management and project prioritization Qualifications Qualifications: To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must: Demonstrated interest in Healthcare Compliance, Health Policy, Legal or Public Policy, as a possible career path Possess strong written communication and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret and summarize technical or regulatory information Graduate between May 2027 and May 2028 Ability to work 40 hours per week from June to August 2027 Must live within a 3-hour radius of Madison, WI and be willing to travel to headquarters from June to August Attend the summer intern program kickoff and retreat ( June 1-4, 2027 ), and final intern presentation (Late July/Early August) Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring work visa sponsorship from Quartz, now or in the future Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
