Assistant General Manager

Preferred Qualifications: Management experience in a related business line. Job Summary Responsible for ensuring operations processes and policies are communicated and adhered to. Hold self and team accountable for performance and drive accountability through metrics. Take ownership of success/failure of initiatives and processes. Responsibilities Track industry trends with key competitors and assess their impact on the business. Define and implement programs that meet business needs. Manage Human Resources functions including hiring, training of managers, and indirect supervision of associates. Ensure associates have the necessary tools and training to perform their jobs. Train and assist managers in daily operations. Coordinate and monitor inventories; facilitate moves. Manage logistical planning for fleet and operations. Implement and enforce SOX compliance procedures; emphasize SOX, safety, and general operations. Maintain process and operations consistency to reduce cost and improve performance. Make decisions based on accurate information and represent issues fairly for resolution. Analyze and investigate solutions. Recommend or make decisions regarding new programs or initiatives with significant business impact. Lead a large team or multiple small teams by supervising subordinate managers and staff. Work Environment Located in a comfortable environment with periodic exposure to dust, fumes, or odors. Employees frequently stand or sit in the same location with occasional light lifting (typically Education and Experience BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of related experience. Certification may be required. Advanced degrees may offset less experience. Eligible Locations CA, CO, CT, D.C., HI, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NV, NY, OH, RI, VT, WA.
