Job Title: Maintenance Technician - $20-$35/hr

Job Description

This role supports a first-shift manufacturing plant in the Delaware, Ohio area by performing emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, and technical troubleshooting on production and packaging equipment. The Maintenance Technician ensures machinery operates safely and efficiently, prepares equipment for scheduled runs, and keeps critical systems such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components in optimal condition.

Responsibilities

• Perform unscheduled and emergency troubleshooting and repairs on production and packaging machinery during operating hours to minimize downtime.

• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and routine service on production and packaging equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation.

• Set up and configure production machinery for upcoming scheduled manufacturing runs, including adjustments and changeovers as needed.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to restore equipment to proper working condition.

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to plan and execute maintenance and repair tasks accurately.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLC-controlled equipment and related automation systems.

• Support industrial maintenance activities across truss-building and woodworking operations, ensuring equipment readiness throughout the facility.

• Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status and issues to appropriate team members to support continuous operations.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, including reading and working with related schematics.

• Ability to perform PLC troubleshooting on production equipment.

• Experience with preventative maintenance practices for industrial machinery.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and equipment manuals.

• Industrial maintenance experience with exposure to automation, robotics, and truss-related equipment.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs.

Work Environment

This position operates on a first shift schedule in a manufacturing environment focused on truss building and woodworking. The facility consists of two to three buildings, and the role requires moving between buildings and walking outside at times. The work environment involves industrial production equipment, including automated truss-building machinery, PLC-controlled systems, and robotics, within an active plant setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Delaware, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $72800.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
