With nearly 2,000 team members around the world, and a rich legacy spanning more than 70 years, Versar Global Solutions delivers a broad array of planning, analysis and risk management solutions, project and program management, operations and maintenance services, and information technology applications for environmental management and remediation projects, mission critical facilities and installations, and in support of readiness and contingency operations.This position requires technical support for and installation of electronic security systems thereby protecting sensitive work-related activities, information, documentation, equipment, visitors, and Agency personnel in controlled areas such as federal courthouses and office spaces (probation offices, public defender spaces, etc.) *This position is contingent upon award.The ideal candidate will provide Installation, preventative maintenance and corrective action support of security field and headend equipment for new and existing Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Closed-Circuit Video (CCV) systems in addition to the integration of these systems to monitor the physical plant, people, and contents efficiently and effectively. Candidate must have technical experience and familiarity with specific ESS platforms to support the following systems to include but not limited to: Hirsch/Identiv, C*CURE 9000, Lenel, Bosch Video Management System.This position is based in the Oakland CA Metro area with additional work performed nationwide with up to 35% travel. Overnights may extend to 3 weeks at a time, and accommodation is provided by the company.ResponsibilitiesPerform work on Access Controls, including card readers, electronic or wireless locks, and card, biometric, and fingerprint devices, among othersPerform work on Intrusion Systems and Prevention Systems, to include perimeter controlsPerform work on Video Management Systems, to include Bosch, Milestone, AxisTerminates and dismantles devices and reconstructs equipment as requiredErects safety signage in appropriate areasUse ladders to safely access ceiling crawl spaces and attics, pulling wires, hooking up routes, etc.Cleans up installation debris and maintains an orderly workspaceAnalyzes blueprints and building plans to confirm proper placement of wiring, conduit, and intended overall connection plan on a room-by-room and floor-by-floor basisPerforms system testing and signal verificationAssist with teammate troubleshooting needs virtually or by phone, as neededAssess tools, inventory, and material needs for replacement and order, as neededMeet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum directionMaintain a high level of professionalism, in appearance and communication with the public and federal/local community membersMaintain, enter, and process expenses in Company system by established deadlinesDrives company vehiclesPerform other duties as requiredWhat You'll Bring18+ years of ageHigh School Diploma or equivalent5+ years of directly relevant experience in security systems installationExperience with access control systems and intrusion detection systemsWorking knowledge of ESS platform experienceAbility to read blueprints and building plansAbility to travel up to 35% within the contiguous United States, as neededAbility to be available to travel with short notice for emergency response, as neededAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularlyAbility to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of timeAbility to obtain a Public Trust security clearanceMust possess and maintain an active and valid Florida driver's license without restrictions.Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate's start date.Preferred QualificationsCertification in Hirsch/Identiv, C*CURE 9000, Lenel, Bosch Video Management System, Honeywell Vindicator, or other ESS (Electronic Security Systems)Experience with Video Management SystemsExperience working with fire systemsAbility to program devicesExperience working on federal, military, or government contractsExperience traveling across multi-state or regional geographic areasOSHA 10 or OSHA 30CompensationExpected Salary: $30-$40 per hourVersar Global Solutions is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the Company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
