Senior Estimator

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead the preparation of accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for construction projects. The ideal candidate has a strong background in estimating, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors. This role plays a key part in securing profitable projects and supporting successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed conceptual, budgetary, and hard-bid estimates. Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine project scope. Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, equipment, and material pricing. Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier quotations. Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives. Lead bid reviews and present estimate summaries to leadership. Coordinate with project management, operations, and business development teams throughout the bidding process. Develop bid schedules and ensure deadlines are met. Maintain historical cost databases and estimating standards. Mentor junior estimators and assist in developing estimating best practices. Participate in client meetings, pre-bid conferences, and project handoffs. Qualifications Required: 5+ years of construction estimating experience. Proven experience estimating projects ranging from $1 million to $50+ million (adjust as appropriate). Strong knowledge of commercial, industrial, civil, or heavy construction (customize for your market)High End Custom Homes. Proficiency with estimating software such as HCSS Heavy Bid, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, Plan Swift, OST, Job Tread, or similar. Excellent understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and project management. Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or equivalent.
