Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Operating Room (OR) travel assignment. This role involves providing perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment within a 50+ mile radius of Alexandria, LA.

Responsibilities:

• Assess surgical patients preoperatively to determine their physical and psychological readiness.
• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all equipment and supplies are sterile and available.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members during procedures, adhering to sterile techniques.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any intraoperative changes.
• Document all patient care activities and surgical procedures accurately.
• Follow safety protocols and infection control standards throughout shifts.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license applicable in Louisiana or appropriate state.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room or perioperative setting.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS preferred.
