Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room at a 1:1 ratio across a range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, gynecological, plastic, and bariatric procedures
• Perform and assist with a broad variety of surgical cases including total joint replacements, laparoscopic procedures, endoscopic procedures, and open reductions
• Ensure proper specimen handling and labeling, and adhere to Universal Protocol including Time Out procedures
• Operate and manage surgical equipment including electrosurgical units and fiber optic light sources
• Fulfill on-call requirements as scheduled, including 6 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule with 2 weekend on-call shifts
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico (may be pending at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Willingness and availability to work weekends as required
• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with appropriate documentation
• Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility; non-local driver's license required on file

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Proficiency across multiple OR specialties including orthopedics, gynecology, plastics, and bariatric surgery
• Familiarity with urinary bladder catheterization and cystoscopy procedures
