the level ii nde technician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• performing thickness measurements in accordance with maritime classification societies
• data processing and field drawings
• adhere to quality control procedures and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• document test results, including writing reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections.
• collaborate with management to assure that testing procedures are meeting project requirements.
• manage long term projects effectively and professionally by communicating with customer/client representatives and management to effectively meet established deadlines.
• responsible for guidance and on-the-job training of trainees and assistants in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, procedures, and the company's written practice.
• perform additional nde service methods like mt and pt.
• must be able and willing to travel in the event support is needed in other regions.

Qualifications

qualifications, experience:

required:

• current or previously been certified in accordance with snt-tc-1a level ii utt methods.
• strong with applicable welding codes, i.e. asme, api, aws, etc.
• education history.
• valid u.s. driver's license and able to pass motor vehicle history evaluations.
• able to pass an fbi background verification in accordance with company's increased controls program.
• required to pass drug/alcohol, fit for duty, and ergonomic testing policies/procedures.
• required to pass level ii testing methods upon hire to perform job duties.

preferred:

• anst/accp level ii mt, pt, utt certifications, or documented field hours and classroom education that meets or exceeds snt-tc-1a certification requirements for methods of mt, pt, utt.
• capable of successfully passing company's level ii mt, pt and utt certification process.
• high school diploma, ged, and/or advanced education.
