Director of Facilities

We are seeking a highly accomplished Director of Facilities to lead the engineering, maintenance, infrastructure, and operational readiness of two newly constructed, 30-story luxury mixed-use towers in West Palm Beach, Florida.

This premier development integrates luxury residential living, upscale hotels, fine dining restaurants, premium retail, and commercial spaces, creating a dynamic environment that demands operational excellence at every level.

We are looking for a proven leader who combines deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and a hands-on approach to managing sophisticated building systems and high-performing engineering teams.

What You'll Lead

Facilities Operations & Engineering

• Direct all facilities, engineering, maintenance, and building operations across both 30-story towers.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, elevators, fire protection, life safety, and building automation systems.
• Establish preventive maintenance programs, operational standards, and performance benchmarks.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead engineering and facilities teams.

New Construction & Building Commissioning

• Partner with ownership, developers, contractors, and engineers during construction completion and building turnover.
• Oversee commissioning, system testing, warranty management, and operational readiness.
• Implement building management systems (BMS), computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and maintenance procedures.

Luxury Property & Hospitality Excellence

• Ensure seamless operations across hotels, residences, restaurants, retail, and shared amenities.
• Collaborate with hotel executives, property management teams, commercial tenants, and ownership.
• Maintain exceptional property standards while delivering outstanding service to residents, guests, and tenants.

Financial Management & Compliance

• Develop and manage operating budgets, capital expenditures, vendor contracts, and long-term asset maintenance plans.
• Identify operational efficiencies while protecting asset value and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and inspection requirements.
• Lead hurricane preparedness, emergency response, and business continuity planning.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive facilities management, building engineering, or property operations experience.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
• Proven experience managing luxury high-rise properties, mixed-use developments, major hotels, or large commercial facilities.
• Strong expertise in HVAC, MEP systems, building automation, elevators, and life safety infrastructure.
• Experience with new construction commissioning, building turnover, or large-scale property openings.
• Demonstrated success managing engineering teams, operating budgets, vendors, and capital projects.
• Knowledge of Florida building codes, safety requirements, and hurricane preparedness.
• Strong leadership, financial management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or comparable certification.
• Experience overseeing multiple properties or complex mixed-use developments.
• Background in luxury hospitality, five-star hotels, or Class A residential and commercial properties.
• Experience with energy efficiency, sustainability initiatives, and advanced building technologies.
