Summary About the Position: Serves as a strategic partner to the Command Group, overseeing the planning and coordination of installation messaging and complex modernization and business growth initiatives. Learn more about this agency Duties Help
- Develop and manage internal/external programs including writing, researching, and editing content for social media, video, and photographic platforms.
- Plan and direct high-level visits and official social functions hosted by the installation.
- Briefs the Chief of Staff and the Command Group regularly on complex issues and coordination tasks across a variety of important programs.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of Modernization initiatives to include Business Development projects.
- Plan and execute the Visual Information Program for the installation by performing design, lay-out and construction of materials in conjunction with customer requirements.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May require occasional TDY Travel.
- Current Department of Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments
- Planning, directing, and executing public affairs and strategic communication programs, to include managing VIP protocol and official command functions;
- Designing, managing, and executing complex visual information and multimedia portfolios to support organization missions;
- Administering and designing data portfolios and business intelligence dashboards to analyze program data for senior leaders; and
- Leading business development or modernization initiatives, which includes independently researching financial/manpower data to prepare cost estimates and final bid proposals for DoD contracts.

- Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

- Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
- Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
- This position may require overtime work.
- This position may require you to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing.
- Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
- Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
