This role supports a private, fully equipped workshop based in the Hudson, WI area near Minneapolis. You will work directly on a high-end vehicle collection and a steady pipeline of custom mechanical projects.

There are no customers, no service writers, and no pressure to rush jobs. The focus is on doing things correctly and building things you can actually be proud of.

I am looking for a true builder, not a parts replacer.

Location

Hudson, Wisconsin near Minneapolis. Relocation is available for this direct hire, full-time role.

This is a long-term opportunity to be the go-to builder for a private setup. You will have autonomy, variety, and the ability to work on projects that most shops never touch.

What You Will Do

• Build and swap engines
• Integrate non-OEM setups including wiring, cooling, fuel, and drivetrain
• Work on classics, trucks, off-road builds, and Porsche projects
• Take projects from teardown to completion
• Help shape how the shop operates over time

If you are someone who regularly says “I can make that work” and then actually does, you will fit in here very well.

Background That Fits

• Race teams or motorsports
• Custom or resto-mod shops
• Performance builds or engine swap experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical instincts

Fabrication experience is helpful but not required. You need to understand how complete builds come together. Painting and body work experience is also not required.

Compensation and Setup

• $120K base salary
• Up to 15% annual bonus
• Project completion bonuses
