Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides assessment and therapy services to patients in an inpatient rehab setting. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care focused on patient recovery and functional improvement.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing functions to determine treatment needs.
  
  
• 
  Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to patient goals.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress and update care plans accordingly within the EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  
  
• 
  Provide patient education on communication and swallowing strategies.
  
  
• 
  Flexibly assist with patient treatments during day shifts, including weekends as required.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid Speech Language Pathologist license.
  
  
• 
  Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in inpatient rehab or similar settings.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate knowledge of inpatient rehabilitation procedures and protocols.
  
  
• 
  Be open to working on weekends at least twice every four weeks.
  
  
• 
  Have BLS certification at the time of employment.
  
  
• 
  MBSS experience is preferred for candidates with specialized skills in swallow evaluation.
