CNC Machinist II

Location: Torrance, CA Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We're hiring a skilled CNC Machinist II to support the production of precision components in a dynamic, low-volume manufacturing environment. This role involves setting up and operating advanced CNC equipment to produce complex parts across a range of materials while maintaining tight tolerances and high quality standards.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on machining, problem-solving, and working on a variety of custom or short-run jobs.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC multi axis lathes.
• Produce parts to exact specifications, holding tight tolerances
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions
• Perform first article and in-process inspections
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMM equipment
• Make tool adjustments and assist with tool maintenance as needed
• Maintain organized work areas and follow 5S and safety practices
• Support team initiatives and assist with additional shop needs when required

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; machining certification is a plus
• 35+ years of experience in CNC Lathe machining
• Experience working with tight-tolerance, precision parts
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T
• Working knowledge of G-code and M-code
• Experience with multi-axis machining (5-axis is a strong advantage)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Clean and well-maintained production environment
• Standing for extended periods throughout the shift
• Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs
• Use of standard PPE including safety glasses and steel-toe footwear
