Riverside Hearing Services, Ltd. dba Hearing Health Solutions in Columbus is seeking 4th year Audiology Externs for a twelve‑month, full‑time, paid externship position for the 2027‑2028 academic year. Extern candidate must be enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Audiology program and have completed all clinical and educational requirements of their program. Externship Information Primary Practice Setting: ENT group practice Number of Audiologists at the site: 3 FTE Masters Degree 19 FTE Au.D. 0 FTE Ph.D. 0 FTE Other Doctorate (ScD) 2 FTE professional support staff (technicians/audiometric assistants) 0 FTE Clerical Support Staff Number of Audiology Students each year: 0 1st year AuD Clinical Rotations 0 2nd year 0 3rd year 4 4th year Externships Financial arrangements: Stipend Will interview travel be compensated? No Vacation Days: Negotiable Continuing education opportunities? Yes Start Date: June 2027 Expected hours/days a week: 40 Travel to satellite centers required? Yes, 20 minutes Local students preferred: No Orientation provided: Yes for clinical policies, procedures, patient rights, patient education, quality assessment, assurance, and improvement. Skill Expectations Must master before start: Proficient audiometric testing for adult and pediatric populations. Working knowledge of ENG/VNG testing. Working knowledge of hearing aid technology. Professional interaction with patients, supervisors, physicians, and support staff. Must learn/demonstrate during externship: Solidify proficiency in performing and interpreting audiometric tests. Dispense hearing aids and counsel patients on all aspects of hearing aid technology. Professional interactions with patients, physicians and staff members. Complete externship as an independent clinician.
