School Nurse (Full-Time)

Full-Time School Nurse at Lincoln Elementary School

Pottstown School District is currently seeking a Full-Time School Nurse at Lincoln Elementary School. The school nurse supports student success by providing health care through assessment, intervention, and follow-up for all children within the school setting. The school nurse may also assist in mental, emotional, and social health needs of students and help to support their achievement in the learning process.

The successful candidate has the opportunity to become part of the school community and climate.

This position is part of the state retirement system (PSERS) and gives the successful candidate access to medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits as well as tuition reimbursement of $6,100/yr up to a Master's degree.

The school nurse may be responsible for overnight school trips earning $300/day, which may include managing medication, responding to health-related emergencies, providing first aid, and coordinating with other staff members about health issues.

Requirements: RN or LPN; Acts 34, 114, and 151 clearances; Physical & TB Test prior to employment.
