IT Specialist SME

Summary:

E-Logic is seeking a Senior IT Specialist SME to provide expert-level support to the IRS Middleware Services Branch (MSB) in its IT modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise application integration and a deep understanding of the IRS's IT environment. This role will be responsible for analyzing legacy systems, designing engineering artifacts, and developing transition roadmaps.

Responsibilities:

• Perform legacy system analyses.
• Examine enterprise architecture alternatives.
• Design engineering artifacts.
• Define a transition roadmap.
• Assess program and IT complexity, level of effort, timelines, and associated program resource needs.
• Drive engineering buy-in from EOPS ACIO and other IRS ACIO delivery partners.
• Support program/project delivery architecture artifacts for identified transformation projects, including database solutions (e.g., MongoDB) and cloud capabilities (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Qualifications:

• Subject Matter Expertise in IT
• 8+ years of experience with IT infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with IRS IT environment and systems is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.

Security Requirements:

• Must have or be able to obtain the required security clearance.
• Must comply with all IRS security clauses and provisions, including those related to the E-Government Act of 2002 and FISMA.
