Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist position available in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves working in a short-term acute care facility within the Brachytherapy department. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering HDR (High Dose Rate) treatments, assisting with brachytherapy implants, and radiopharmaceutical administrations. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of their assignment.

Job Details:

• Specialty: Radiology / Radiation Therapist
• Shift: Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts from 6:15 AM to 4:45 PM, rotating days off.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license in Missouri or a compact license accepted in Missouri; ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 1 year of relevant experience; experience with adult acute care patient population; proficient in chart check, dose calculation, handling emergency equipment, and managing radiopharmaceuticals.
• Preferred Qualifications: Sensitivity training highly preferred.
• Schedule: 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: No weekends or holidays. The individual will operate HDR units, assist in brachytherapy procedures, and administer radiopharmaceuticals as directed. The assignment involves handling 8-15 patients daily in a Level Trauma short-term acute care setting. Cross-training opportunities in proton therapy, external beam, and simulation are available.
• Certifications: ARRT (Radiation Therapy), BLS, and Missouri or compact license required at time of submittal.
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics, with preferred experience in adolescents.
• Unit Details: The facility has a total of 1,266 beds and provides Level Trauma services. Interdisciplinary support is available, and staffing includes a specialized brachytherapy team.
