Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CDL A Truck Driver role based in Columbia, TN. The CDL A Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating company trucks to deliver insulation and other building materials to retail and contractor customers in a timely and professional manner. Day-to-day tasks include loading and securing materials, verifying delivery documentation, following established routes and schedules, and adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. The driver will interact with customers at delivery sites, provide courteous service, and assist with unloading as needed to ensure accurate and damage-free deliveries. The role also involves conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting maintenance issues, and collaborating with the warehouse and dispatch teams to support efficient operations. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating commercial vehicles. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safe driving practices, and basic vehicle maintenance. Ability to safely load, secure, and unload building materials, including handling freight with proper equipment. Customer service skills to interact professionally with contractors, retail customers, and team members. Reliable time management and organizational skills to follow routes, schedules, and delivery procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials throughout the workday. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in construction supply or distribution is a plus.
