Licensed Practical Nurse - Night Shift - Health Care

Avera Morningside Heights Care Center – Nursing Positions Work Shift: Primarily days with rotating weekends and holidays (U.S.). 7:00 am–3:30 pm, 16 hours every 2 weeks (0.2 FTE) — Holiday rotation. Hourly Pay : RN$41.29–$564.16 per hour; LPN$24.86–$35.84 per hour. Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities Deliver nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to residents, families, and friends to understand residents’ conditions, medications, and self‑care skills; re‑evaluating care objectives. Perform all nursing functions as directed, including assessments, interventions, and documentation. Participate in care planning, ensure residents receive consistent and age‑appropriate care, and implement plan of care updates. Communicate and manage residents’ care, ensuring quality and safety. Assist in discharge planning and education. Adhere to pharmaceutical policies, medication administration, and SBAR communication tools. Maintain competency with operational equipment, investigate incidents, patient/family complaints, and report to VP of Resident Care or Administrator on‑call. Assist with data collection for quality functions and performance improvement activities. Registered Nurse (RN) Required Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing license, active in the state of practice (upon hire). Registered Nurse (RN) Preferred Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in a clinical or long‑term care environment. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities Provide professional nursing care, assessment, and evaluations within scope of practice. Perform all licensed practical nursing functions as directed by the RN. Complete assessments, make appropriate interventions, and apply the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate). Ensure medication/treatment is provided safely and accurately per physician orders. Participate in care planning and ensure consistent and appropriate resident care. Communicate changes in resident condition to physician using SBAR. Process and transcribe physician orders and implement per facility policy. Operate within scope of Nurse Practice Act, using recognized clinical practice standards. Comply with staffing policies and assist with quality improvement activities. Investigate incidents and report complaints to VP of Resident Care or Administrator on‑call. Administer medications using facility policy and Pyxis system. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing license, active in the state of practice (upon hire).
