Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Clarksburg WV Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (Clarksburg, WV) is seeking a Vocational Senior Pastor who stands on the Word of God. We are seeking a Pastor for soul winning wherever-whenever-however the opportunity presents itself. The harvest here is great and we are a congregation of willing workers. Key Responsibilities Must be able to prepare and deliver sermons that are both Biblically sound and well organized. Actively engaged in establishing and maintaining a sound Sunday School and Bible Study. Lead Deacon ordinances and ministerial events, including monthly communions, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and baby dedications. Must maintain a lifestyle and reputation of high moral integrity and ethical standards. In partnership with the Official Board, ensure that the By-Laws are consistently adhered to. Develop an outreach program that engages the community, youth, and parents. Ensure that relevant, high-quality training in discipleship and leadership skills is made available to ministerial staff, designated ministry leads and office staff. Partner with and lead efforts in developing ministry leaders and providing wise counsel to members. Desired Qualifications Biblical and spiritual character as outlined in Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-3 Licensed and ordained minister in the Baptist Faith-REQUIRED Comprehensive knowledge of the Bible A preacher of the Gospel with five years of pastoral experience A visionary with sound judgment and discernment A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College/University, Master’s Degree of Divinity, and Seminary training (preferred) Devoted to teaching of the Word of God Focused on establishing the church of tomorrow by implementing outreach to all generations Clearly and persuasively communicate in both written and oral formats Exhibit computer proficiency and able to navigate Microsoft Office Suite Effective administration and leadership skills Demonstrates financial awareness and responsibility Demonstrate ability to work with a diverse congregation across all races, genders, and ages Must be friendly, kind, loving, and approachable to the congregation Committed to continuing education and development Must exhibit a desire to be an engaged Pastor who is willing to nurture the church’s spiritual growth Possess strong integrity exemplary of a spiritual leader of the church #J-18808-Ljbffr Doverbaptist
