Forward Deployed Engineer

Overview We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers to implement AI-powered solutions and build custom integrations that solve complex business challenges. In this role, you will become the primary technical partner for customers, translating business requirements into production-ready AI applications. You\'ll work closely with engineering and product teams to build customer-specific features that can ultimately become part of the core platform. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end implementation of customer engagements. Gather customer requirements and design AI-powered solutions for existing workflows. Build customer-specific features, integrations, and automations using modern AI technologies. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and enterprise customers. Deliver scalable, production-ready software in a fast-paced startup environment. Contribute customer-driven solutions that can evolve into core product capabilities. Required Qualifications 2–4 years of experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or Backend Software Engineer with customer-facing implementation experience. Strong programming skills in Python and TypeScript. Hands-on experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agents. Experience designing, building, and deploying customer-facing technical solutions. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another STEM discipline. Ability to work on-site five days per week in San Francisco (relocation assistance may be considered). Preferred Qualifications Experience working at a VC-backed AI startup or other high-growth technology company. Former founding engineer or early-stage startup experience. Experience building AI automations and enterprise integrations. Passion for solving customer problems through technology. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving startup environment.
