Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring patients and newborns in a Labor & Delivery unit
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
• Support and educate breastfeeding mothers in accordance with evidence-based practices aligned with Baby-Friendly standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts (must be provided at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (must be in hand at submission)
• Active ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (must be in hand at submission)
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (must be in hand at submission)
• Reliable personal vehicle required for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system
• Familiarity with Baby-Friendly designated facility standards and breastfeeding support practices
