Medical Scheduler

Job Summary A busy medical practice in Columbia, SC is seeking an experienced Medical Scheduler to support a high-volume, phone-based patient scheduling team. This contract/temporary opportunity is ideal for a dependable healthcare administrative professional who enjoys helping patients, managing a steady call flow, and contributing to a positive patient experience. The Medical Scheduler will serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping coordinate appointments, answer questions, and communicate important information to clinical and administrative team members. Key Responsibilities Answer high-volume inbound patient calls in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using practice management or EHR systems. Assist patients with general questions, appointment details, and basic office information. Communicate accurate patient and scheduling information to appropriate members of the practice. Support front office workflow by maintaining organized records and following established procedures. Help create a positive patient experience through dependable service and clear communication. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour. Job type: Contract/temporary. Assignment duration: Temporary position through January 2027. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Location: Columbia, SC.
