About the Clinician's Workday The hematologist/oncologist will provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, managing 10-12 patients per day at an outpatient cancer center. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans for general hematologic and oncologic conditions. Call coverage follows a 1:3 or 1:4 rotation, with the clinician taking weekday call and rounding on assigned patients, and covering weekend call every third or fourth week. Hospital privileges are required, with a credentialing timeframe of 60 days; board certification in Medical Oncology and completion of an oncology fellowship are mandatory requirements, along with an active Indiana state license or IMLC.
