City/State Elizabeth City, NC Work Shift Rotating Overview: Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 2-South Medical/Surgical Unit to work on an as needed basis. Flexi/PRN, Rotating Shifts. This M/S unit is a 24-bed unit with adult, geriatric, adolescent patient population. Medical or GYN overflow patients are cared for on this Medical/Surgical Unit. The variety of cases seen include abdominal, endoscopic, ENT, general, gynecologic, ophthalmic, orthopedic, thoracic, urologic, vascular, and plastic surgeries. Medical patients are admitted with CHF, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, atrial fib and chest pain. Education Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required) Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred) Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program. Certification/Licence Registered nursing License (Required) Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License. BLS required within 90 days of hire.
