JOB GOAL Assist the principal in providing a safe, well-monitored environment for all students. Qualifications Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents. Organized and efficient manager of time. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Education/Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum Requirements Current First Aid/CPR Certification Performance, Duties And Responsibilities Provide for the safety of students at assigned work area by enforcing the rules for the site. Administer basic First Aid and assistance to students. Help settle disputes between students through problem-solving methods. Report and document serious concerns/incidents to the school administration. Be aware of potentially hazardous conditions in the assigned work area. Promote opportunities for cooperative interaction/play between students as appropriate to the assigned work area. Help monitor special circumstances/needs for individual children. Work cooperatively with other staff members in the school. Keep track of playground equipment on a daily basis. Be a positive role model for children. Work with students in behavioral remediation settings. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Environment Job duties involve sitting, walking, standing, stooping, crouching and climbing. May be exposed to high noise levels. May be required to deal with distraught students. Work is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
