Bookkeeping Specialist

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and assist in managing our clients' financial records accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, proficiency in relevant software, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities Record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries. Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts. Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial records. Prepare and process invoices, bills, and expense reports. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations. Collaborate with clients and team members to resolve any discrepancies or issues. Provide support during financial audits and reviews. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in bookkeeping. Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by management. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles. Proficiency in bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday, with occasional requirements for evening or weekend work depending on client needs. On-site at client in the Elgin area. WHO IS LedgerLogix?
