Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized cardiovascular operating room nursing support for open heart procedures and other surgical cases. Ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes through expert perioperative care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and assist during cardiovascular surgeries.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes promptly.
• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate successful procedures.
• Document all perioperative activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Handle a varied caseload, predominantly open heart surgeries, and support other cases as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with relevant cardiovascular surgery experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in assisting with open heart surgeries.
• Possess excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Be willing to work mostly day shifts (06:30-15:00) with call requirements of 10-12 days per month.
• Ability to adapt to varying departmental needs and case types.
• Prior experience in cardiovascular OR preferred.
