About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 08:00) Experience: 2 years of travel experience required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience of 1:8 - Charting system experience preferred (Epic) - Travel experience required Description: Behavioral Health RNs are needed for an adult inpatient unit. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:8. RNs may be required to float to ER or Med Surg as needed. Candidates must have two years of travel experience. The start date is anticipated within the next 3-5 weeks. Clinicians must be available to complete lab items within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a plan in place for completion in that timeframe. Candidates should possess skills in antianxiety, antidepressants, antipsychotics, and managing behavioral health treatment. Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques is necessary. Knowledge of medication administration and managing psychiatric disorders such as bipolar disorder, depression, and substance use is required. Candidates should be comfortable with inpatient settings and locked units. Understanding of seclusion protocols and physical hold protocols is important. Telemetry monitoring experience is also required.
