Senior Software Engineer I

Job Summary Senior Software Engineer role supporting Software delivery systems including release engineering, automation, project management, deployment, configuration, and system monitoring. Requires deep knowledge of DevOps, test automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines. Must also mentor and lead a team towards excellence. Job Responsibilities Plans, designs, develops, and tests software systems or applications for enhancements and new products, including cloud-based tools. Writes code that meets specifications for large and complex software programs. Develops software applications and tools and participates in software design. Utilizes Agile development methodologies. Delivers software features with exceptional quality, meeting release plans and commitments. Handles important or complicated undertakings. Contributes to and participates actively in design, architecture, and build phases, aiming at high-quality deliverables. Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information and guides architecture decisions. Demonstrates proficiency in most professional areas and in-depth specialization in some, anticipating and preventing problems and roadblocks before they occur. Builds professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve issues. Understands organization’s current software applications and tools, and has in-depth knowledge of relevant programming languages. Resolves a wide range of issues creatively. Mentors less experienced team members. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar field, OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 7 years of experience. Experience writing code for moderately complex applications. Experience with programming languages for online applications, microservices, or mobile applications. Experience designing and building moderately complex applications/automation. Experience writing automation test or deployment scripts. Experience creating coding/scripting solutions to fix moderately complex problems. Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems. At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership, or cross‑functional team leadership. Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience working in an Agile environment. DevOps: Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in deployment automation, IaaS/PaaS on Linux, automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform), CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments with containers/Docker, GIT workflows, Kubernetes, and related tooling. Web/backend development: Full‑stack experience, proficiency in Java, Node/Typescript, .NET, Python; design, development, security, and scalability of high‑volume services; enterprise integration patterns; modern UI frameworks like React. Mobile development: At least 4 years of mobile app development (Kotlin/Android); experience with testing automation tools; React Native; integration of third‑party SDKs. Data & Analytics: 4+ years integrating, transforming, and consolidating data; SQL, Java, or Python; relational and NoSQL databases; dimensional data modeling; Azure, AWS, or GCP data services; data pipelines and integration tools; reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
