Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 – $2,370 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Ann Arbor, MI 48109 — Michigan travel nurse opportunity in a vibrant college town
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (July 13, 2026 – October 12, 2026)
• Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00–19:00 or 11:00–23:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-call: Up to 4 weeknight call shifts and 3 weekend call shifts per 4-week schedule (8-hour blocks, 30-minute response time)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 (perioperative one-to-one patient care)
• Orientation: Up to 36 hours

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year recent Operating Room RN experience (1.5 years preferred) — perioperative or surgical RN experience
• Experience in Thoracic, ENT, Neuro, and Oral/Maxillofacial surgery strongly preferred
• Valid MI Registered Nurse license in-hand prior to start
• BLS certification required
• Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience preferred
• Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
• Two supervisory references required (charge references not accepted)
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub across surgical specialties including adult neurosurgery, otolaryngology (ENT), oral/maxillofacial, thoracic (excluding transplant), and spine (neuro and ortho)
• Provide 1:1 perioperative patient care in advanced surgical suites
• Respond to assigned on-call duties within a 30-minute response time
• Use Pyxis medication system and Epic charting for medication administration and documentation
• Maintain infection control, patient safety, and perioperative standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including anesthesia, radiology, and pharmacy
• Participate in onsite orientation and ongoing professional development
