Job Description

This full-time Delivery Driver role offers the opportunity to work with construction equipment and supplies, ensuring timely and professional deliveries to customers across Wisconsin. You will operate a pickup truck with lift-gate and trailer, handle loading and unloading, and serve as a key point of contact for customers by explaining equipment operation and services. The position runs Monday through Friday on a daytime schedule and requires safe driving practices in accordance with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rental equipment, products, and supplies to customer locations across various addresses and routes.
• Follow established routes and time schedules to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups.
• Load and unload equipment and products safely, including preparing loads and securing them for transport.
• Inspect and operate a pickup truck with lift-gate and trailer in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate forklifts and related equipment to move, load, and unload inventory as needed.
• Inform customers about equipment operation, products, and available services at the time of delivery.
• Obtain required signatures on sales and rental contracts and ensure accurate documentation of deliveries.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies during driving and loading activities.
• Work effectively in a variety of weather and traffic conditions while maintaining safety and professionalism.
• Perform general labor tasks related to loading, unloading, and organizing inventory when required.
• Maintain excellent organizational and time management practices to complete daily routes and tasks.
• Handle some heavy lifting as part of loading and unloading equipment and materials.
• Support inventory management by accurately loading, transporting, and unloading equipment and supplies.

Essential Skills

• Valid CDL Class A drivers license.
• Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets insurance carrier standards.
• Demonstrated experience working as a Delivery Driver.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely.
• Capability to work safely in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
• Strong organizational skills to manage routes, paperwork, and schedules.
• Effective time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading equipment.
• Knowledge of and adherence to DOT regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with customer support and customer service in a delivery or logistics environment.
• Experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
• Familiarity with loading, unloading, and securing loads for safe transport.
• General labor experience in warehouse, construction, or equipment rental settings.
• Experience with inventory handling and basic inventory control.
• Comfort working at warehouse and construction sites.
• Interest in a direct-hire, full-time position with consistent hours.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a professional and cost-effective approach.

Work Environment

The role is based on-site and involves working in warehouse and construction environments, delivering equipment and supplies to customer locations. You will primarily work a day shift from Monday through Friday, typically from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with an expected 42.5 hours per week. The position requires operating pickup trucks with lift-gates, trailers, forklifts, and occasionally box trucks, as well as handling loading, unloading, and transport of inventory. Work takes place in varying weather and traffic conditions, and some heavy lifting is part of the daily routine. Dress is practical and appropriate for warehouse, driving, and construction site activities, with attention to safety and comfort.

This is a Permanent position based out of West Allis, WI.

The pay range for this position is $41060.00 - $52000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
