We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to manage case files from inception through resolution and keep our legal operations moving forward smoothly.
In this role, you will be the backbone of our litigation team, ensuring all case deadlines are met, and our attorneys are fully equipped to advocate effectively. This is a full-time, in-office position that requires a proactive professional capable of handling complex municipal and litigation matters independently while maintaining absolute confidentiality.
- Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
- Manage case files, track deadlines.
- Manage case files from inception through resolution, ensuring all documents are organized, accurate, and accessible.
- Available to work in office during business hours. Monday – Thursday 9:00 am – 5:00PM & Fridays 9:00am-4:00PM.
- Assist in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, and municipal board meetings.
- Conduct legal research on statutes, case law, and municipal codes.
- Coordinate with municipal clients on agendas, resolutions, ordinances, and compliance matters.
- Liaise with court clerks, opposing counsel, and municipal officials to ensure smooth communication.
- Prepare exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders for litigation matters
- Prepare for mediations or arbitration.
- Ensuring cases move forward smoothly, deadlines are met and attorneys are equipped with everything they need to advocate effectively.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
- 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal; municipal law experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw etc.) and e-filing systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with municipal meeting procedures and public records laws is a plus.
