Civil Engineering Manager

OverviewWe're partnering with a well-established, multi-disciplinary design and engineering firm looking to bring on a Civil Engineering Manager to lead and grow their presence in the New York City market.This is a senior leadership role focused on building out a civil/site team, driving revenue growth, and overseeing project delivery across a range of land development projects including commercial, mixed-use, and institutional work.You'll play a key role in shaping the local business, managing client relationships, and leading both the operational and financial performance of the group.This position is based in NYC with a hybrid work setup.Compensation: $175,000 - $215,000 + bonus potential.Your role Lead and grow a civil engineering team within the NYC market Oversee project execution, including select hands-on project management responsibilities Manage financial performance, including revenue tracking and forecasting Drive business development efforts and secure new projects Build and maintain strong client relationships Represent the firm at client meetings, hearings, and industry events Oversee team operations, staffing, and hiring Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers Qualifications 10+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on land development Experience operating at Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level, with leadership exposure Strong track record in client development and relationship management Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering About the company Our client is a nationally recognised design and engineering consultancy with a strong footprint across multiple sectors, including commercial, residential, and institutional development.They offer an integrated approach across disciplines, allowing teams to collaborate closely and deliver projects efficiently from concept through completion.The firm provides a strong platform for leadership, combining the resources and project exposure of a larger organisation with a more entrepreneurial, growth-focused environment at the regional level.
