The RN in Pediatrics at Northwell Health is responsible for providing age-specific care to a designated group of patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in collaboration and leadership within a pediatric setting. Highlights Location: Huntington, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Assess the patient's physiologic health status through interviews and chart reviews. Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition to adjust care plans. Communicate and document patient's health status and plan of care. Elicit patient perceptions and determine coping mechanisms. Develop criteria for measuring patient outcomes and identify potential problems. Formulate and document the plan of care, prioritizing necessary activities. Maintain vigilance over patient care and ensure safety precautions are followed. Administer prescribed treatments and medications accurately and safely. Provide emotional support to patients and their significant others. Collaborate with care team members to implement treatment regimens. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: Documented Pediatric Experience required. Documented Adult Med/Surg Experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required.
