Information Application Development Engineer / ArchitectThe Information Application Development Engineer / Architect will create modern industrial applications across OT and IT layers, ensuring Connected Enterprise and IIoT solutions. Our development is often carried out as part of a co-innovation program with focused customers.Provide technical pre-sales and post-sale support of company products/systems. Provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications. Provide answers to customer inquiries concerning system software and applications. Provide software development and consultation to prospective users. May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop applications using Logix Designer and FactoryTalk OptixBuild edge-to-cloud integrations using DataMosaix, Plex, and FiixDevelop APIs, microservices, and modern web applicationsUse Time-Series Databases and Data Visualization ToolsDevelop Requirements from the understanding of Manufacturing SystemsDefine architectures from Logix control layer to cloudAlign control data models with enterprise and cloud solutionsApply cloud-native and event-driven architecturesImprove adoption of OPC UA standardsDesign data models using Smart Objects, FT Optix and FT DataMosaixIntegrate Logix, historian, and enterprise dataPromote analytics and predictive use casesThe Essential qualifications: You will haveBachelor's Degree in relevant field.Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
