Student - Community Service Lead

We are seeking Student Workers for the Community Service Team Lead role at the Chandler Center, Campus location. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Act as a role model and team leader in The Chandler Center. Provide support and training to student worker staff peers. Maintain positive relationships with community-based non‑profit organizations. Ensure student volunteers are educated on community issues and engaged in service. Provide office support to The Chandler Center (answer phones, assist visitors, etc.). Attend and participate in bi‑weekly Monday evening staff meetings. Accurately enter data into The Chandler Center databases in a timely manner. Represent the Center with professionalism and an understanding of the work we do. Drive and transport volunteers with the Center minivans as needed. Minimum Qualifications Enrollment in an Undergraduate or Graduate Day program at SNHU. Driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Community Service and Civic Engagement. Experience in a leadership role. Experience with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Qualtrics, Canva. Work Hours Flexible including weekdays, early evenings and weekends (approximately 15 hours per week). Learning Outcomes Understand and exhibit exemplary work ethic, demonstrating punctuality, dependability, effective time management, and the ability to set and achieve professional goals. Cultivate critical thinking skills, allowing you to perform tasks independently with minimal supervision and make informed decisions in various work situations. Gain confidence in professional communication, including proper telephone etiquette, concise and accurate email correspondence, and effective interaction with Center visitors. Acquire skills in planning, promoting, and managing events, engaging others in the process. Develop an awareness of the diversity within the greater Manchester community and the non‑profit groups served, alongside building your own definition of active citizenship and understanding your role in contributing positively to the community. Degree Programs All degree programs can apply, but programs highly recommended to apply to include law and politics, sociology, history, justice studies, and communication majors.
