About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive leadership team. The COO will be a strategic partner to the CEO, providing operational oversight and organizational direction for the delivery of services. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the organization's mission, vision, and values are upheld in all aspects of leadership and decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations across various service areas, maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Financial stewardship is a key aspect of the role, including the development and management of operating and capital budgets. The COO will also lead strategic planning, organizational growth, and continuous improvement initiatives, and must have a strong background in healthcare, senior living, or related fields. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree strongly preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' executive leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading complex, multi-site operations, and a deep understanding of the regulatory and financial aspects of the industry. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is the ability to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Experience in a mission-driven nonprofit organization and with HUD-assisted housing compliance is also preferred. The COO must be a mission-driven and values-based leader, demonstrating a genuine commitment to the organization's mission and values, and keeping the individuals served at the center of all decisions.
