Join Our Dynamic Night Shift Neuro Nursing Team!

Job Description:


- Shift Details:
- 12-Hour Night Shifts: 7 PM - 7:30 AM
- Weekend Night Options:
- Friday/Saturday/Sunday
- OR Saturday/Sunday/Monday

- Unit Overview:
- Unit 6 WEST - Neuro
- 20 Beds (14 on Floor)
- Patient Ratios: 1:5-6

- Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- NIHSS (must be in hand at submission)
- ACLS preferred

- Common Patient Diagnoses:
- Neurosciences
- Deep Brain Stimulators (DBS)
- Stroke
- Seizures
- Surgical/Post-Op Spines
- Neurological Disorders

- Experience and Skills:
- Strong Neuro experience required
- Proficiency with G-tubes
- Recent EPIC experience

- Nursing Responsibilities:
- Charge Nurse available 24/7
- Nurse ratios: 1:7-10 with support from nurse aids
- RT available 24/7, floor vents managed by RT & physician
- Telemetry available, RN's verify strip readings with tech


- Flexibility:
- 3 shifts in a row possible but not guaranteed
- Weekend shift requirement: every other weekend or 3 weekend shifts per schedule (Saturday and Sundays)

- Orientation and Cancellation:
- Unit-specific orientation: 1 shift on the unit
- Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract

- Charting System:
- EPIC

- License Requirement:
- Active nursing license required

- Contract Length:
- 91 Weeks
