American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift travel assignment at a Magnet, teaching hospital in Washington State. Job Details Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: May 11, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Responsibilities Work in a high‑acuity respiratory care setting within a 500‑bed Magnet, academic Level I Trauma Center Provide care for patients in BPICU, SICU, MICU, and NSICU, including adult and pediatric populations Manage high volume of tracheostomy patients, spinal cord injuries, neurologically and medically complex cases, and patients with sleep‑disordered breathing Support an ED with ECLS transfers Conduct night shifts 18:30–07:00 (3x12‑hour shifts) Perform charting via Epic (hardstop) – experience preferred No on‑call or floating required; block scheduling available Attend every other weekend as scheduled Requirements RRT credential required Active Washington State respiratory care license required Minimum 2 years of experience, including critical care experience within the last 12 months Level I Trauma experience required (adult trauma and burn patients) Proficiency in ventilator management, monitoring, O2 therapy, and adult ICU care Pediatric experience preferred; on‑the‑job training available At least 2 prior travel assignments beyond initial hospital experience BLS certification required COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions Experience at teaching or trauma hospitals preferred Additional Information First‑time travelers accepted for this position Local candidates accepted at the same rates with no radius requirement RTO requests during orientation week not allowed; minimize RTO requests Facility does not accommodate scheduling requests outside approved RTO Prior UW Health staff must be separated for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler Solid color scrubs acceptable; light blue scrubs provided on unit On‑site parking available for a daily fee; off‑site parking with weekday shuttle (5am–10pm) available at reduced rate Compensation Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
