Job Overview Associate Director of Middle and High School STEM We are hiring for an Associate Director of Middle and High School STEM with a Master’s Degree, at least 5 years of school leadership experience, and a proven record of academic outcomes in STEM (NY State Science exams, Regents exams, and AP exams). The position title will be commensurate with candidate experience relative to Zeta’s organizational levels. Location 401 W. 218th St., New York, NY 10034 Hybrid work schedule: In‑person Tuesdays and Thursdays, optional remote Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays if scope of work permits. Responsibilities STEM Vision and Strategy : Design rigorous STEM experiences based on complex texts, analytical skill development, and communication of ideas. Achieve Annual Academic Goals : Lead middle and high school STEM to meet rigorous annual goals. Collaboration and Problem Solving : Build authentic relationships across Zeta to support growth for student learning. Treat challenges as root‑cause analysis opportunities. Curriculum and Assessment Management : Create and curate curriculum and assessment materials aligned with New York State Learning Standards and Zeta Learning Competencies, including unit plans, lesson plans, and assessments. Professional Learning : Design and lead STEM professional learning trainings for principals, assistant principals, and teachers to achieve excellent academic results. Instructional Management : Develop clear instructional management plans and observe instruction across schools to ensure high‑level implementation and outcomes. Data Analysis : Use data to identify gaps and take action to improve learning outcomes. Feedback‑Driven : Embrace a growth mindset, actively seek, provide, and incorporate feedback, fostering continuous improvement and collaboration. Act as a lean, scale‑up team member, supporting teammates and taking on new projects and tasks as needed. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Education or related field. Minimum 5 years of school leadership experience. Proven record of improving STEM academic outcomes (NY State Science exams, Regents exams, AP exams). Strong strategic, curriculum, and data‑analysis skills. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000, plus annual discretionary merit‑based bonus.
