Job SummaryMedpace is looking for a highly experienced Tax professional to join our Finance team. The Associate Director/Director, Tax will lead a team responsible for US and international Tax strategy and global Tax compliance.ResponsibilitiesOversee the preparation and review of US, State & Foreign Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740), includes assisting and reviewing the preparation of numerous book vs. tax differences;Lead the review of foreign income tax returns (which are prepared by external consultants) and other cross border related matters such as Pillar 2 and Transfer Pricing;Work closely with the Sr. Director of tax, CFO and other executive leadership regarding Tax strategy and compliance;Oversee completion of federal (Form 1120 & 5471’s) and state income tax returns, including all related analysis and support;Perform in-depth tax research and evaluate alternative interpretations of key provisions in the US Internal Revenue Code using excellent professional judgment;Coach, counsel and educate necessary Finance personnel and company leadership in tax related matters;Manage the relationships with external consultants and advisors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service;Identify and implement tax planning initiatives as tax jurisdictions and the business permit.QualificationsBachelor’s degree plus a CPA or Master’s degree;14+ years of tax experience;Prior management experience preferred;Advanced knowledge of federal tax compliance, federal tax accounting and provisions, tax analysis, and tax research;Knowledge of ONESOURCE Income Tax is preferred;Ability to supervise, oversee and provide direction to team members;Ability to demonstrate effective communication including positive influencing skills, listening, and appropriate delegation;Advanced analytical skills and the ability to review the analysis of others to ensure accuracy;Excellent theoretical and practical grasp of tax and other regulatory principles and how they apply to the business;Ability to take ownership for projects and drive to timely completion.Medpace OverviewMedpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO) providing phase l-lV clinical development services to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries.
