Role Description Overview This exciting opportunity allows you to operate your own 26-foot box truck while delivering freight across various routes with flexibility and independence. As an essential part of our logistics network, you will transport retail products and other specialized freight while ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries. We prioritize safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence, providing you with the opportunity to grow and succeed as an independent business owner. Compensation reaches up to $5,000 per week, involving retail and general freight deliveries across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating a box truck to pick up and deliver freight, ensuring secure, damage-free loading and unloading. The role involves coordinating with dispatch, following assigned routes, meeting delivery deadlines, and maintaining accurate logs, bills of lading, and delivery confirmations. The Box Truck Owner Operator is expected to uphold safety and DOT standards, comply with relevant transportation regulations, and represent Mako professionally at customer locations. When not on the road the operator must be in compliance-- Manage paperwork, Submit on-time invoices, and communicate effectively with the Mako Team at the local facility. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL or relevant endorsements are preferred where applicable. No more than one traffic violation in the past 2 years. Demonstrated experience in local or regional delivery operations, including safe loading, unloading, and cargo securement. Experience operating 26' box trucks Strong knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance, safety procedures, and Department of Transportation (DOT) or state transport regulations. Physical ability to handle freight as required, including lifting, moving, and securing loads in compliance with safety standards. Ability to use mobile devices or logistics platforms for routing, communication, and electronic documentation. Excellent time management and reliability, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage delivery assignments. Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach when interacting with shippers, receivers, and internal teams. 24’ or 26’ box truck (model year 2013 or newer) At least 6 months of verifiable OTR experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
