Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) is sought for a contract position in Tucson, Arizona. The RN will provide specialized care in a Cardiac Observation Unit (COU), supporting patients pre- and post-procedures such as Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Cardioversions (CV). The role involves evaluating patients, assisting physicians, performing bedside procedures, and ensuring seamless patient recovery, all within a high-acuity cardiac setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Arizona or compact state registered nurse license, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), telemetry, catheterization (CATH) laboratory, or surgery center is considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Responsibilities:
  • Admit patients and prepare them for cardiac procedures, including charting pre-procedure checklists, starting IVs, and access preparation.
  • Prepare patients for Cardioversions (CV), and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
  • Recover patients following cardiac catheterization involving conscious sedation.
  • Sedate, circulate, and document bedside procedures such as CV and TEE.
  • Discharge patients, including providing teaching, documentation, and physical discharge procedures.
