Job Description Draft, review, and negotiate commercial retail leases with a strong focus on tenant representation Prepare and negotiate ancillary transactional documents including term sheets, letters of intent, lease amendments, assignments, and surrenders Handle asset purchase agreements from due diligence through closing on both buy-side and sell-side transactions Counsel clients directly on transactional strategy and legal risk, building trusted relationships Manage a heavy, deadline-driven caseload independently from start to finish Communicate with clients via email and phone with a high standard of professionalism and responsiveness Collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment while taking full ownership of your matters Qualifications Active New York State bar admission required 4+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience, with hands‑on lease drafting, review, and negotiation Strong legal writing, drafting, and communication skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment under pressure Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Familiarity with the NYC hospitality, food, and beverage industry is a plus In‑house or solo practice backgrounds considered Why You Will Love Working Here This is not a firm where you disappear into a large department.
