Kirkwood Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking dependable, hardworking Housekeepers to help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Day Shift

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Full-Time and Part-Time positions available.

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment throughout our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. Working as part of the Environmental Services (EVS) team, you'll help ensure residents enjoy a welcoming home while supporting infection prevention and overall quality of care.

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, common areas, dining rooms, therapy areas, and other facility spaces

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect, and sanitize assigned areas

• Maintain restrooms and replenish paper products and cleaning supplies

• Empty trash and dispose of waste properly

• Follow daily housekeeping schedules and complete assigned cleaning tasks

• Respond promptly to emergency housekeeping requests

• Follow infection prevention and infection control procedures

• Operate housekeeping equipment safely and effectively

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors

• Work closely with nursing and other departments to meet resident needs

• Treat residents, families, and coworkers with professionalism, kindness, and respect

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, environmental services (EVS), hotel housekeeping, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred

• Healthcare, hospital, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, assisted living, or long-term care experience is a plus but not required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail
